How do I get to Fuerteventura?

You can book your flight to come directly to Fuerteventura airport (FUE). For a wider choice of flights, you can fly to Lanzarote Arrecife airport (ACE) and take the 20-minute ferry crossing to Fuerteventura. The last ferry crossing to Corralejo from Playa Blanca, Lanzarote is at 19:00 so please make sure your flight arrives by 16:00 if travelling with luggage.

How do I get to the villa?

We are located in the village of Villaverde.

Getting here from Fuerteventura airport

Fuerteventura airport is 35 minutes from Villa Azul. We recommend that you allow us to organise a transfer for you. This will ensure that you have no waiting around at the airport and that your driver knows exactly where you are going, allowing you to get to us and settle in as smoothly and stress free as possible.

The cost is as follows:

1 Guest – 35 euros
2 Guests – 20 euros per person
3 Guests – 15 euros per person
4 Guests or more – 10 euros per person

We always try to arrange shared transfers for guests arriving at similar times to keep your costs down. Coming by public transport is not recommended as you will need to take three buses to get to the Villa (bus number 3 to Puerto del Rosario, changing to the number 6 to Corralejo then the number 8 to Villaverde).

Getting here from Lanzarote Arrecife airport

Lanzarote Arrecife airport is approximately one and a half hours away. From the airport you take the bus (one hour) or a taxi (30 minutes) to the ferry terminal at Playa Blanca. The ferry takes 20 minutes to Corralejo ferry terminal. It is then 15 minutes from the ferry terminal to the Villa by taxi. The last ferry crossing to Corralejo from Playa Blanca, Lanzarote is at 19:00 so please make sure your flight arrives by 16:00 if travelling with luggage.

I am a solo traveller, is this ok?

The majority of our guests travel to us on their own to take a much needed break away from the pace of day-to-day life. You will meet other like-minded people who are with us for a healthy break. At the villa, brunch and five evening meals are included and the group dines and socialises together. On the remaining evenings guests often choose to enjoy meals together at one of the excellent restaurants a short walk away. You also have the option to stay in and self-cater. During free time, some guests like to spend time exploring the island together, other guests are happy to enjoy the beautiful beaches and down time on their own – whatever your needs are, Azulfit offers a fun and safe environment for solo travellers of all ages.

Is there a pool at the retreat?

We offer a plunge pool at the retreat, to relax in and take a dip to cool down. The pool is not a lap pool (4m x 3m). The ocean is beautiful and warm enough to swim most of the year. We have sun loungers and beach towels for hire for 2 euros for the week.

I have never done Pilates or yoga before, is this ok?

We offer classes for levels from beginner to advanced, so join us if you would like to try Pilates or yoga for the first time. We offer a variety of yoga classes so you can sample and work out the best style for you, and our Pilates instructors work with you to safely help you progress and challenge yourself each week.

How many people do you typically have for a week?

Group size varies from six to eighteen people. We like to keep group sizes small as this allows individuals to have more attention and be better equipped to accomplish their goals. If the group exceeds sixteen students, or the group has mixed abilities, we will often set up extra classes to allow more individual attention to each student.

Can you accommodate special dietary requirements?

Azulfit can accommodate a variety of special dietary requirements, including gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian diets. We try to accommodate most food allergies within our brunches and evening meals. Please indicate this on the booking form when you book your allergies and we can correspond with you directly about them. If you have any other dietary requirements please contact us and we can discuss your needs.

I have an illness/injury, will I be able to take part in your classes?

Please see information on special conditions here. In all of our classes you are encouraged to go at your own pace and to listen to your body. We try, where possible to take note of any injuries or illnesses you have and offer you suitable modifications and adjustments. In cases or serious injury, illness, or pregnancy we ask that you book our wellbeing class package, offering you private tuition, at your own pace, for your wellbeing. If you have any serious doubts about attending the retreat, you should seek advice from your doctor.

What kind of yoga and pilates equipment does Azul provide?

Azulfit supplies yoga mats, yoga blankets, magic circles, straps and blocks, where necessary, as well as any additional equipment needed for the specific session.

Can I book with Azulfit anytime?

Our retreats start each Saturday afternoon, and run for 7 nights, with checkout the following Saturday. Checkout is at 11:00am but we are happy for you to stay on site through the day if you have an evening flight. We try, where possible, to accommodate arrival dates early in our set weeks, as flights to the island can be difficult to find at certain times of year. Long weekends and long breaks can be accommodated where possible. Please contact us with your requirements. We can recommend alternate accommodations nearby to the retreat should you want to arrive early, or depart later than our set dates.

What are check-in and check-out times?

Check-in and check-out times vary to accommodate people’s arrival times. Check-in is generally from 12 noon through to 9pm. Guests are welcome to stay in their accommodation until 11am on busy arrival days, and we ask that departing guests place their belongings in a secure area so that the rooms may be prepared for new arrivals.

Are there laundry services at Villa Azul?

We will gladly do your laundry on request for five euros per load. We are eco-friendly and sun dry all laundry. Depending on the weather expect one to two days for the service.

Is there internet access?

We try to create a mellow environment away from the stresses of busy life – however, we do appreciate that some guests would like to access the internet during their stay with us. Wifi is available in the lounge for five euros for the week.

What should I bring with me?

  • Comfortable clothing for Pilates and yoga sessions
  • Summer clothes and swimwear
  • Warm jumper for the evenings and more warm clothes during winter months for breezy evenings
  • Beach towel (Beach towels can be provided by Azul on request for two euros. Bath towels are provided)
  • Books
  • Sunscreen and mosquito repellent
  • Trainers for walks
  • Hair dryer
  • Medication
  • European adapter if travelling from the UK/outside Europe (the correct adapter is the two round pin adapter, not the two flat pin adapter)
  • We provide yoga mats – however, if you prefer to bring your own you are welcome to.
