The island of Fuerteventura has plenty of exciting discoveries to be made.
Betancuria is the island’s historic and original capital. This quiet and quaint Spanish village nestles amongst the mountain tops and volcanoes in the island’s greener and more lush centre.
Untainted by the tourist route and full of cultural and traditional bounties and stunning vistas, this visit back in time has more than just its fantastic mountain views to be discovered.
Enjoy visiting the old church and watch how the island’s aloe vera products are made at a live demonstration before sampling some local food in one of the artisan cafes. We run trips to Betancuria on request.
Explore the west coast fishing village of El Cotillo – a place that draws people back again and again.
Visit the old fort and enjoy the sweeping vista of long beach and the surfers below. Follow the coastline to the rugged north shore, enjoying the stunning contrast of black volcanic rock, white sand and turquoise ocean and the old light house.
Visit the crystal clear lagoons and enjoy a swim in the most stunning of locations. Visit the local handicraft shops and enjoy a drink in front of the old habour. We run regular trips to El Cotillo.
Lobos is just a short hop across the water by local boat. You can walk around the island, enjoying the coastal scenery and the flora and fauna that is unique to this island, visiting the lighthouse and climbing the volcano.
There are excellent places to swim and snorkel and beautiful beaches to have a picnic. We can take you to the port, arrange boat tickets for you and provide a packed lunch, leaving you free to explore the island at your own pace.
