Does your mind wander during a yoga class or when you meditate? If so, this Hatha Yoga Intensive will help you to regain your concentration and move deeper into your practice.

Hatha Yoga is the oldest form of Yoga. When practiced mindfully it will encourage you to gain optimum levels of health, balancing both body and mind and helping to fine tune all of your body’s systems. This form of Yoga is not dynamic but yet physically and mentally challenging. Sally specializes in the ancient discipline of Hatha Yoga and will guide you into classical sun salutation, Asanas (poses), Pranayama (breathing), Yoga Nidra & Meditation.

We start every morning with classical sun salutation and move on to various yoga postures that open the body gradually. Time is spend in each pose to fully experience and appreciate its purpose and benefits. Remaining in Yoga poses for longer duration has many beneficial effects on both the body and mind. It has tremendous positive effects on the immune system, flexibility and strength and enhances peace of mind. Each day we build up and develop your Yoga practice. Sally will guide you into each pose to let you become aware of your body and your breathing. You will also experience and learn Yogic breathing techniques and meditation. After the course you will have a clearer understanding of Yoga and what it can do for you.

You will leave this week with an increased level of awareness of your body and increased level of well-being.

  • Tuesday Evening: Mantra Chanting (optional)
  • Wednesday Morning: Hatha Yoga
  • Wednesday Afternoon: Sun salutations & Yoga Nidra
  • Wednesday Evening: Ayurveda Workshop (Additional cost)
  • Thursday: Rest day for exploring the Island or relaxing by the pool
  • Friday Morning: Hatha Yoga
  • Friday Evening: Hatha Yoga and Meditation
  • Saturday Morning: Hatha Yoga and Meditation
