Imagine a holiday where you exercised most days, tried new activities, relaxed properly and actually came home rested, recovered, fitter and healthier. A holiday where nutritious and healthy food is cooked for you by a team of chefs. A holiday where you try new sports, enjoy a relaxing massage and unwind in the sunshine. That holiday exists!
Azulfit and Steve Hoyles are excited to offer a week long retreat combining traditional exercise and training with yoga, Pilates and meditation to
improve both the body and the mind. We’ve teamed up to provide guests with a week-long health and fitness retreat like no other.
Days will start with personal trainer led circuit training sessions and / or yoga our beautiful yoga Shala. A healthy, nutritionally-balanced breakfast will be served shortly afterwards, prepared for you by Azulfit’s amazing kitchen team. The day is then your own. You can enjoy exploring Fuerteventura, relaxing on the beach, hiking the local volcanic landscape, heading into the sand dunes or looking around the local beach towns.
Five sumptuous, 100% vegetarian, evening meals will be served during the week.
On the two other evenings, there are local restaurants to sample. After dinner, you are free to do as you please. You can relax in the villa, head outside into town or off to bed if you fancy – the choice is yours. The intention is for you to leave this retreat fitter, healthier, relaxed and de-stressed.
We believe a health and fitness retreat should be fun, so beyond the workouts, yoga and Pilates we’ve organised a few days of healthy sporting activities.
On other days there will be different activities. There will be one day when the group, will head out on a guided bike ride on the roads. The route will not be overly taxing but may include some hills so will inclusive to riders of all abilities. It’s a way to see the island whilst exercising.
Guests also have two days of surfing lessons with Azulfit’s partners at 7 Islands surf school where you’ll enjoy first class tuition whilst having fun in the clear blue water at one of the island’s beautiful beaches – improving your fitness, learning a new skill and hopefully having a fantastic time riding some waves! With all of this activity, we need to recover – so included in the package is a 1 hour massage for every guest. We exercise, eat well, have fun and recover!

The week is appropriate for all fitness levels, and you are welcome to participate in as much or as little activity as you like. Its a chance for you to put your fitness and wellbeing first, along with the usual warm Canarian sunshine, delicious vegetarian cuisine and stunning island beaches.

We will be limiting the spaces on the course for optimum teacher attention and to help each student with development and progression.
About the instructors
An early interest in health and fitness progressed into an obsession with how exercise and nutrition can be used to improve lives. I wanted to help people beyond simply looking better – I wanted to use exercise and nutrition to help people feel better.
My academic choices shaped my career path. I gained my degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Wales Swansea in 2004 and embarked on a career in the fitness industry. I haven’t left the industry since.
I started my personal training company, Hoyles Fitness in January 2011. I started the company with the vision of changing the way Personal Training clients experience health and fitness.
During this time I have taken on lots of clients with different needs and goals. I’ve written for magazines, appeared on BBC Radio and most importantly of all, helped my clients to achieve a healthier, better lives.
Hoyles Fitness is also online – I have a blog that is read by thousands of people per week and a podcast that has many thousands of downloads. I also send out a weekly newsletter that can be accessed via subscription on my website.

This special retreat week takes place at Surya Retreat in Fuerteventura. The villa is beautifully situated nestled amongst the volcanoes with sweeping vistas.
Offering different levels of accommodation to suit all budgets, we are sure to have the perfect place for you to lay your head.
Daily brunch (fruit salad, selection of cereals, home-made bread, home-made marmalade, eggs, salad, pancakes, juice, herbal teas and coffee) is served after the morning session.
Five delicious and healthy evening meals are also included so you can enjoy meals with like minded company and enjoy a week of clean, delicious food.
