California Pilates retreat: itinerary
Our numbers on this retreat will be limited to a group of 6 – 8 to ensure that you can focus on your personal goals. The week will include daily group mat classes, discussions and workshops with Jamie and opportunities for private studio sessions.
This makes this Pilates retreat ideal for all levels, whether you are new to Pilates, or already a long time practitioner, this will give you the opportunity to explore, develop and challenge yourself, in our fun and nurturing environment.
This will allow you the chance to take your Pilates to the next level, whilst developing a deeper understanding of the method. This is a sure fire way to stoke up your Pilates passion and to find a new found confidence and motivation to achieve your goals.
As well as the challenging and fun Pilates sessions, the week will provide you with the opportunity to relax and rejuvenate in beautiful California. Relax between classes by the pool, discover the southern Californian beach culture, or indulge in a massage or healing therapy treatment.

If you are simply looking to immerse yourself in wellbeing or find some space to relax and rejuvenate, then our experience is perfect for your needs.
This Pilates retreat takes place in Encinitas, California just 30 minutes from San Diego international airport, and 10 minutes from Carlsbad Palomar Airport. The location is about 90 minutes south of Los Angeles. Beautifully situated 5 minutes from the coast, with a stunning garden, saltwater pool and jacuzzi. There is a lovely outside patio for al fresco dining and viewing sunsets after your day filled with Pilates and wellbeing.
There are lots of areas to relax, in the sun and in the shade as well as a lovely living room, comfy sofas and a jacuzzi to unwind in.
Offering private or shared double rooms, with luxury king or queen size beds and private bathrooms you can rest peacefully in the deluxe rooms.
About the area
Southern California is so diverse, from beach culture to water sports, to the Pacific Coast Highway there is so much to do and see here. We can help you arrange surf lessons or SUP lessons. Make your retreat as relaxing or as active as you want… its all here on our doorstep for you to enjoy!!
SUP rental is available from 30 USD per hour, and takes place in the beautiful Carlsbad Lagoon.
Surf board rental is available from 30 USD per day, and there are amazing beach breaks near by – from Blacks in La Jolla to Swami’s in Encinitas, to Trestles in San Clemente, there are amazing waves and beaches for you or for your surfing partner.
If you are an adventurous spirit, we do recommend renting a car for your time between classes and meals. The beach is a short drive away and there are amazing sidewalk cafes, local markets and lots of Southern California surf culture to soak up.
Daily breakfast of homemade granola, fresh fruits and yogurt is available before the morning session.
Delicious brunches (fruit salad, home-made muesli and granola, homemade marmalades, scrambled tofu or healthy pancakes, juice, herbal teas and coffee) are served after the morning session.
3 Delicious and healthy evening meals are included within the cost of the long weekend retreat. Brunches will be prepared with love by your California hostess, Karissa and dinners prepared by our amazing chef.
The retreat food is so popular it is available as a cookbook. There are also herbal teas and water available throughout the day, and there are lots of amazing vegetarian restaurants and cafes in the area for lunch.
About the Instructor
The retreat is taught by Jamie Isaac, a Pilates, movement and wellbeing expert.
Jamie Isaac believes in the power of mindful movement to change the world. Really.
As a surfer, yoga lover and Classical Pilates aficionado, Jamie founded Azulfit & Fluid Art Pilates Studio to share his passion with those who are ready to take their next conscious step toward vibrant health. Changing the world takes energy, clarity and inspiration, and Jamie makes sure his students have more than they need so they can be a shining example to others of what is possible.
Jamie is a 2nd Generation Master Pilates teacher. At his studio in California, and through workshops and retreats across the globe, Jamie loves nothing more than supporting and celebrating the transformations of his students… except maybe playing with his awesome kids.
Jamie feels gratitude for all the inspirational teachers he has learned from. From exploring a deeper side to mindful movement, in Santa Fe, with Celia Hulton, Ray Kurshals, & Michele Larsson to developing a compassionate and authentic approach to delivering the method, with Zoey Trap.
Jamie has studied with Lolita San Miguel (who trained with Joe Pilates himself) and is honored to be certified by her, as a Master Teacher.
As an eternal student passionate about the method, the learning journey continues.
