About the course
This will be a fun and challenging week of yoga, designed for practitioners looking to further develop their practice. Some yoga experience is necessary for this special week.
The course will work on the development of strength and focus in your practice, working with the Surya namaskara (sun salutation) A and B from the Ashtanga series using jumps, directing attention to breath and correct posture throughout vinyasas and asanas.
The week will consist of two special types of class: workshop classes and flow classes. The workshop classes focus on questions and corrections, allowing you to develop your understanding and ability and really benefit from lots of attention in a small class setting. The flow classes will allow you to practise without interruptions,experiencing the power and peace of vinyasa flow and gaining in confidence in your own practice.
We will be limiting the spaces in the vinyasa sessions to allow for optimum teacher attention and to help each student with development and progression.
About the instructor
Annie is a talented and experienced teacher of vinyasa flow. She enjoys leading energising classes and has a talent for helping her students move their practice on, developing new abilities and gaining more confidence.
Orignally training in hatha yoga, Annie later trained in the more dynamic forms of vinayas flow and Ashtanga. Her enthusiastic nature is well suited to these forms and she has become well known and respected in the surfing and windsurfing communities for her skill as a teacher.
Itinerary
Sunday
Morning: Welcome meeting after breakfast, explaining the workshop, discussing any injuries and determining group levels
Afternoon: 90 min workshop class - sun salutation A-B, standing sequences, breathing
Monday
Morning: 60 min flow class
Afternoon: 90 min workshop class - sun salutations, forward bends, introduction to jumping through
Tuesday
Morning: 60 min flow class
Afternoon: 90 min workshop class - sun salutations, balance postures, end sequence
Wednesday
Morning: 90 min flow class
Afternoon: Rest
Thursday
Morning: 90 min flow class
Afternoon: 60 min flow class
Friday
Morning: Rest
Afternoon: 90 min full flow class

Meals
Daily brunch (fruit salad, selection of cereals, home-made bread, eggs, salad, cheese, pancakes, juice, herbal teas and coffee) is served after the morning session. Four delicious and healthy evening meals are included within the cost of the course, including three meals designed and served by our nutrition advisor, Jo, and a BBQ on the final evening with food grown from the villa garden. There are self-catering facilities at the villa and within five minutes walk you will find a supermarket, a wonderful bakery and two of the islands best restaurants.
