Yogabeats Conflict fundraiser

The Mission

If you are in a position to donate money:

Please donate to our indiegogo campaign here: YogaBeats Conflict crowd funding

Help us fund safe passage for yoga teachers from war torn areas to a safe haven so they can complete their teacher training course.

As our practice encourages us to look deeper within ourselves, we should also be aware of our responsibilities in our community and the world outside.

As a community of yogis and wellbeing practitioners we have the responsibility to not just shine the light of positivity, and love, but to also lead the way.

It doesn’t mean we have to take the torch and strike out on a new path, but it does mean that we must recognise that our community is real. To be a real participant, to be a practicing yogi, we have to get involved and support those that carry the torch.

It’s not enough any more to say that yoga makes you feel happier, more at ease, and to only take from the practice. We must also share it, pass it on, through a smile, kind words or a well purposed action. Now here’s your chance!

David Sye and his Yoga Beats Conflict team are those very torch bearers.

Here at Azul we are humbled by, and keen to support, their incredible efforts to bring peace into conflict zones that so desperately need it.

Azul is supporting this worthy mission, by donating our retreat space and staff for a YogaBeats conflict foundation teacher training.

But even that is not enough. To bring these brave and open hearted teachers from their difficult and repressed conflict areas, we need to underwrite safe passage, visas, passports and air flights.

These areas are far away and generating the support needed for safe passage is expensive. To bring 30 teachers together from these troubled areas, to bring about change, to take a step towards peace in the world, we could really use your help.

Other ways to support the community:

Share this on and take a beautiful step towards making this powerful yoga community even bigger, even greater than before.

This not-for-profit work is supported by his holiness the Dalai Lama who has said that: “It is not enough to be compassionate, we must act.”

The whole event will be filmed and shared with the world, and we would love for you to be part of the project.

Thank you.
