Through the practices of Yoga, Meditation, Yoga Nidra, Silent Yin and restorative classes and silent meals, we learn to stay present, resting in our awareness, rather than reacting to the thoughts of our mind.
Yoga is a moving meditation, Food is our medicine, sleep is our rest and recovery, yet this is rarely the case in most modern day busy lives . We rush from one thing to another, maybe eating on the go, possibly unconscious of the food on our plate .
Developing Mindfulness is a practice, something we develop, something we get better at the more we practice. It involves learning to develop a non-judgemental moment to moment awareness in all situations.
We are such distracted beings, our body can be calm and rested, yet our mind is fast and anxious. How do we cultivate a state of mindfulness? To cultivate an understanding of mental mechanisms to brings control over happiness and unhappiness?
Observing the field of the mind, and what is at play here, learning to focus your mind and rest in greater levels of stillness and peace.
