How do I get to Santorini?

You can book your flight to come directly to Santorini JTR airport.

For a wider choice of flights, you can fly to Athens airport (ACE) and take the short flight to Santorini JTR from there.

How do I get to the retreat?

The Pelagos Hotel Oia is located a short distance from the sea; and approx. 13 KM from Santorini JTR airport.

Getting here from Santorini Airport

Santorini JTR airport is approx 20 – 35 minutes from the retreat, depending on traffic. We recommend that you allow us to organise a transfer for you. This will ensure that you have no waiting at the airport and that your driver knows exactly where you are going, allowing you to get to us and settle in as smoothly and stress-free as possible.

The cost is as follows:

1 Guest – 30 euros
2 Guests – 15 euros per person
3 Guests or more- 15 euros per person

  • Please note after 11PM the price of the shuttle is 35 euros.

We always try to arrange shared transfers for guests arriving at similar times to keep your costs down. We can also arrange pick up from the ferry port (same costs as above) or from other local hotels in Santorini.

Is there a pool at the retreat?

Transfers, Excursions and free time

In between classes, your time is your own. You can do absolutely nothing or read a book, swim, sunbathe, walk, catch up on rest, have a massage and be as sociable/unsociable as you like. Sunday and Wednesday will be optional excursion days. The nearest town is Oia. The town of Oia is 4 km away (6 minutes by car) and Antonis, our host, can set up transfers with a taxi or mini bus at any point. In a taxi fitting 1- 4 people the rate is 10 euros total to Oia, and in a minivan shuttle fitting more people, the rate is approximately 4 euros / per person.
Guests can take a beautiful walk to Oia which is essentially a 30 minute walk by foot.
We can also organise the following excursions:
1. Day trip to Oia (tentatively planned for Sunday to allow you to check out the local area, this will be arranged after breakfast on Sunday). You can see the old streets of the town and see amazing architecture, the caldera, museums & churches.
2. Catamaran trip. Approx 105 euros, including dinner. This is payable to the hotel and not included in your package. Planned for Wednesday depending on numbers – great scenic route around the Caldera and to the other end of Santorini. The catamaran makes frequent stops for snorkeling and bathing in the hot sulfur baths. Finally, an amazing dinner is provided while watching Santorini’s famous sunset.

Other excursion options include:
1. Wine tasting
2. Church and Museum viewings
3. Water activities (SUP, snorkeling, jet skiing, etc)
