Retreat tip
Remember the best results come when you focus on how you are doing the exercise, as opposed to simply focusing on getting it done and out of the way.
Doing the breathing in time with the movement is well worth the extra attention and care. As well as making the physical exercise more effective, ensuring your body is getting oxygen as and when it needs it, it also has the added benefit of calming and focusing the mind.
As Jamie says in the video, think about your alignment too and notice which is your stronger side. By working to balance out your body you’ll find all your movements are more effective, graceful and energy efficient.
Jamie will be hosting the special retreat week Pilates Body, Mind and Spirit at the Villa Azul retreat, Fuerteventura from the 9-16 June. With just one space left you will have to be quick if you want to join this one but please do contact us if you’d like to register for the next one, or if you are interested in any other of our special retreat weeks.
